28 February 2026
Soweto Derby
30 fans watched Kaizer Chiefs play Orlando Pirates at FNB Stadium, with transport there and back from Ponte City. Pirates won 3–0.
1 March 2026
The 24th Ponte Challenge
150 people raced up the stairs to the top of Ponte City in the first public race of the year.
29 March 2026
A private challenge for Pirates Running Club
More than 200 runners ran from Parkview to Ponte City and up the stairs. It was their third private challenge with us.

Springboks in the sky
30 rugby fans joined us for the Springboks against England at Ellis Park.

Parties at 5101
5101 hosted three birthday parties and a DJ night on Human Rights Day.

5101 opened an exhibition of work by South African artist Zinhle Ngobese.

The Soweto Derby experience was out of this world. Super well organised by Dlala Nje and a great way to see the hotly contested soccer match. … A genuine 10/10 experience.

Such a cool Joburg experience! Sundowners at Dlala Nje on the 51st floor of Ponte City have unreal views over the whole city. Great music, drinks and snacks, and it was really interesting learning about the history of the building too. …

Hold your own event at 5101
5101 is our venue on the 51st floor of Ponte City. In 2026 it hosted birthday parties, a birthday brunch for more than 30 people and a marriage proposal.

Every drink and ticket helps fund the Dlala Nje Foundation’s community centres in Ponte City. Football fans can join the Soweto Derby Experience, and you can hire 5101 for your own event.
